The Mediterranean is threatened by its worst ever environmental disaster after Israel’s bombing of a power plant in Lebanon sent thousands of tonnes of fuel gushing into the sea, the environment minister charged.

I suspect that we will be hearing a LOT more about this issue. The MSM paid little attention to Iraq’s PM stating that they needed money to rebuild Iraq. The money that we have been spending for their reconstruction has apparently been redirected towards security. I wonder just what other games the State Department is playing with the US citizens, those that are funding this war. Can you say Haliburton?? I suspect that Bushco is tearing us a new one and who knows where this money is really going anyway.

The State Department agency in charge of $1.4 billion in reconstruction money in Iraq used an accounting shell game to hide ballooning cost overruns on its projects there and knowingly withheld information on schedule delays from Congress, a federal audit released late Friday has found.
