Bush and Rove Launch ‘Legacy’ Campaign to Rewrite History Bush and Rove rolled out the “Bush legacy project” this week with concerted talking points revising the history of the invasion of Iraq — making it clear that their modus operendi over the next decades will be to relitigate their blunders and failures relentlessly until the truth is upended and facts are blurred beyond recognition. They will probably succeed for three reasons: 1) American memories are famously short, 2) propagandizing is just about the only thing they do well and 3) there no plans currently to get the truth on the record by holding them accountable in a post-presidential impeachment or trial.
